My journey in optometry began at the age of 15, when I realised I wanted to help people protect and improve their vision – one of our most precious senses. After graduating from the University of Manchester with a degree in Optometry, I’ve spent over 15 years working in a variety of settings, from busy high street practices to community-based clinics. These experiences have shaped my approach to care: thorough, compassionate, and always patient-focused.

Born and raised in Huddersfield, I understand the value of trusted local healthcare. I founded Kirkburton Eyecare to bring exceptional clinical care to the heart of our community. As a mother of two young boys, I also understand the pressures of daily life, which is why we aim to make every visit smooth, supportive, and tailored to your needs.
